Tahiarii is the founder of POLYNESIAN ESCAPE, a Polynesian own & operated company capable of organising excursions and all sorts of aventures in the great Pacific !

Born in 1975 in Papeete, Tahiarii benefited from a double cultural influence growing up between France and Tahiti.

At 19, he obtained a Degree in Science from the University of French Polynesia in Tahiti and in 99 a Bachelor of Commerce from Bond University in Australia. After a few years in the private sector, Tahiarii returned to the Raromatai (leeward) Islands in 2003 alongside his loved ones. He settled in Bora Bora, dividing his time between his IT company and his various cultural responsibilities.

Tahiarii follows the ancient Arioi tradition by being a practitioner of Polynesian arts, educating new generations to reconnect the ancient and the contemporary. He helps organize cultural events, such as the international tattoo festival Tattoonesia which he helped launch in 2015.

In 2007, he left for Hawaii to pursue his Polynesian heritage and was accepted among the students of great traditional navigators, such as Nainoa Thompson and Onohi Paishon.

In 2009, Tahiarii obtained his Captain's License 200 and in 2010 ensured the navigation of the canoe Te Matau in Maui by practicing the art of the path of the stars (Aveïa) and non-instrumental orientation across 3,300 nautical miles, from the New Zealand to Rarotonga via Raiatea.

He then traveled for a long time between London, Paris, Auckland and Honolulu continuing his research in different private collections and museums around the world where he was often invited to restore ancient artifacts. It offers conferences around the world on the theme of the Polynesian Triangle as well as specialized cultural tours for VIP visitors (yacht, resort, private residence) focusing on the central object of the canoe as a vehicle of traditional knowledge of this region.

He spent a year as director of the Tetiaroa Society on Marlon Brando Atoll in 2015-2016, leading the site's conservation effort and the team of naturalist guides who show the atoll to guests of the atoll. 'The Brando' hotel.

Since 2017, Tahiarii has been involved in the training of Bora Bora lagoon activity guides for the territory of French Polynesia.
